Back in 1916, the BMW group was established. In 1923, the brand announced the production of a motorcycle. Up until the point, the company was only supplying engines but had not completed production of any vehicles. In 1928, BMW purchased Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach and started production of vehicles, which eventually expanded into a large range of sports cars and luxury rides. It wasn’t until 1962, however, that BMW was known as one of the leading manufacturers of sport-oriented vehicles. The BMW New Class compact sedans led the charge on this front and throughout the 60’s, coupe and luxury sedans were added. The mid-sized 5 Series range was introduced in 1972, with the 3 Series compact sedans introduced in 1975, 6 Series luxury coupes in 1976, and 7 Series large luxury sedans in 1978.

Regardless of the type of BMW you drive, you know you’re getting a luxury vehicle with a focus on quality. The company’s slogan of “The Ultimate Driving Machine” fits their cars perfectly. When you need a new part for your model, it’s important to invest in ones that are OEM that were made by the same manufacturer of your car’s original parts. Find them here at OEM Vehicle Parts.
